Where we work most
Three areas carry most of the work. Each one has its own soils, species and failure patterns.
Staunton
Home base. Limestone valley soil and shallow bedrock, tight street-tree removals in Newtown and Gospel Hill, and young subdivision trees that need corrective pruning now.
Tree service in StauntonWaynesboro
South River bottomland silver maple and sycamore, dead ash from emerald ash borer, and wind-exposed properties running up toward Afton and Sherando.
Tree service in WaynesboroCharlottesville
Some of the best mature hardwood canopy in Virginia, on properties where the trees are part of what the place is worth. Assessment, cabling and preservation work.
Tree service in CharlottesvilleTowns we work in every week
Staunton is the shop, which keeps emergency response times short across Augusta County. Albemarle work runs east through Crozet and Ivy into Charlottesville, and we take Rockingham County jobs up toward Harrisonburg.

How Sylvan Scapes runs a job
The same four steps on every job, from a single dead maple to a full property assessment.
The owner walks the property
Kevin Thompson looks at every tree in question from the ground up: species, structure, defects, and what sits underneath it. Not a salesperson, not a photo texted from the road.
Written estimate
A written scope within a few days. What comes down, what stays, and what it costs. No verbal numbers that change on job day.
The work, done to standard
Crews work inside ANSI Z133.1. The rigging plan is set before anyone leaves the ground, and records are kept on every job.
Site left clean
Brush chipped, wood cut to length or hauled, ruts repaired, lawn raked. The yard looks like we were never there, minus the tree.
